- I was Publications Manager at what is now
MasterCard Europe in Brussels. I produced the
annual report, plus other external and internal
communications, and managed an enviably large
budget
- I started out as a financial journalist in
London. I've wide experience of writing on
financial services, mortgages and property,
including writing for The Observer and
the Wall Street Journal Europe.
- I launched and edited the award-winning Personal
Finance magazine, a monthly consumer
title.
- I studied Japanese and Law at St John's College,
Cambridge.
- I write about books for The Guardian's website, and wrote an essay on Thomas Hardy and
Dorset for Common
